Following the official reveal of Stüssy and Nike‘s latest collaboration, we now have a closer look at the duo of Air Zoom Spiridon Caged 2 colorways. Offering its take on the newly revitalized Nike Sportswear model, the imprint imagined a sporty “Pure Platinum/Black-White” look and a lifestyle leaning “Fossil/Black-Fossil” option.
Referencing the high-performance heritage of the Nike Running style, the “Pure Platinum/Black-White” features a proud silver mesh upper set on top of a contrasting black base. Accenting the upper are metallic silver overlays and glossy black elements that appear on the heel, tongue and midfoot Swooshes.
The “Fossil/Black-Fossil” take diverges from the sport origin with an upper crafted of panels marked by varying textures of rough tan canvas. Breaking up the monochromatic design of the colorway are the black Swooshes at the midfoot and toe region.
Tieing the two colorways together is branding that comes in the form of oval-shaped Stüssy badges on the tongues and heels, Swooshes, printed insoles and branded touches on the outsoles. Along with lightweight Phylite rubber midsoles are distinct Zoom Air bags framed by contrasting black plastic heel cages and torsion plates.
Priced at $160 USD, the Stüssy x Nike Air Zoom Spiridon Caged 2 is set to release alongside apparel and accessories at the Stüssy webstore March 27 at 10 a.m. PST. The collaboration will also see a release at Stüssy’s chapter stores in Hong Kong, Sydney, Seoul and Taiwan, with email orders available at Milan, Madrid, Amsterdam, Tel Aviv and Kuala Lumpur locations.
